About Us

Controls are always changing and it's hard for companies to keep up with the technology changes. Control Consultants mission is to stay up-to-date on new controls, and design to current safety specifications. We pride ourselves on helping customers find reliable control solutions to meet their needs and budget. 

Control Consultants was founded in 1992 by a team of electronic engineers that previously worked for Landis Tool, where they were involved with the design and development of their custom grinder MPC II controls.

In the mid 1990's, the majority of our business was continuing to support Landis Tool's engineering needs; however, we also began to branch out to small machine shops in the area doing custom projects.  As our team grew, so did our customer base in the machine tool industry.

In the early 2000's we began supporting the Pennsylvania Prison System by upgrading various prison's automated door lock systems.

In 2008, when the market turned downward, we used the opportunity to expand our capabilities to include patient wandering systems for the health care industry as well as developing test equipment for military contractors.

Since that time we have continued to work in these fields and work more with our local partners to offer turn key solutions.  This has allowed us to tackle larger projects that also include mechanical design and machine shop work.
